St Oswalds Bay from Man O’War Cove, Dorset

Canon 5D Mark II, 16-35mm at 16mm, ISO 50, 1.0 secs at f16

Taken – Wednesday 31st March 2010

As the sun drops a shadow is cast over Man O’War Cove but if you walk around far enough you can catch the final rays of sunshine hitting the rocks and St Oswalds Bay in the distance, if you time it right and run like a mad man you have just enough time get back over the top and onto the beach opposite to shoot the final rays of sunshine hitting Durdle Door.

I’m still amazed at the change in weather yesterday, it always pays to put off the first glass of red wine before dark!

  1. Great foreground interest with the surf adding a little drama to the scene and I love that sky.
