Waiting For The Mist, Corfe Castle, Dorset, England, UK

Canon 5D MarkII, 16-35mm f2.8 at 16mm, ISO 100, 1/2 sec at f22

Taken on 2nd March 2010

I have been waiting for misty conditions at Corfe a long time, it’s difficult to predict but usually forms at night, clear skies have a cooling effect on the ground, which in turn cools the air close to it. This cool air causes condensation and water droplets form in the air.

I’ve done a number of trips to Corfe of late but so far there hasn’t been a hint of any mist……it will come!
